 The City of Jacksonville requires, by law, the rabies vaccine. The State of Florida allows only veterinarians to perform rabies vaccines after performing a physical examination. Heartworm prevention and other prescrition medications require by Federal law a yearly examination as well.

They do still need to see the vet EVERY year! The exam is the most important part. Cats will hide feeling sick until it is almost too late. The earlier we can find a problem the better! Rabies is still required yearly by law - even in indoor cats.

This group of cats is at the highest risk for all the kitty diseases as well as many other problems.  It is almost impossible to give a solid quote for what a visit will cost in total, because it may change on what the doctors finds. Always ask for an estimate!
